A1- Simple Science Experiment.

Good morning guys!

Well it’s our favourite day of the week again, YAY! Enjoy the rest of your learning tasks this morning and have a fabby  weekend!

Today I thought we could try a very simple experiment which shows the importance of using soap when washing your hands! As we all know it is very important to wash our hands properly, especially just now.

Items you will need:

• Plate
• Water
• Washing up liquid
• pepper

Instructions:

• Pour the water on to the plate.
• Wait for the water to settle then sprinkle some pepper onto it.
• Put a finger into the water and see how the pepper sticks to your finger.
• Wash your hands and put a little washing up liquid on your finger then put your finger back into the water and watch the pepper move away to the side of the plate quickly.
• Cool isn’t it!

This is my daughter having a go! A very simple explanation for this is that the soap chases the pepper away!
